Bergman returns to the bench following an unsuccessful at-bat as Jerry Kowalowski steps in.  Excellent pitching by both teams meant that baserunners were hard to come by.

Lefty Joey Painter came on in relief of Bergman for the final inning of the day.

The teams remained very cordial, although disappointed that the game's outcome would stand in doubt.

Knight certainly enjoyed the experience, as relayed to an interviewer following the game.

Bergman's face as he talks to members of the Plattsburgh State athletics department is indicative of the day's frustrations.  Everyone was happy that baseball was played, but everyone wishes there could have been more.
